A French company incorporated in Mauritius, International Blueberry Ltd, was the one to win the bid for Manupan, which had been in receivership since 7th January. Four companies had been short-listed out of the eight that answered the invitation to tender.

The new owner is keeping the whole staff together with their years of service. The receiver manager, Raj Gangoosirdar, said he was ?very happy about this very good news?. They should resume work during this week after a meeting between employees and the new owners at 1.30 pm today. One of the main reasons why this French company won the bid is because it had committed to re-employ all the employees under the same conditions. Moreover, the receiver manager insisted on having a solid company that would be able to guarantee the continuation of the company?s activities in the long-term.
