Special service for special persons
With the growth of IRS projects, the tourist sector has been looking for ways to protect its patrons. In that context, Caudan Security recently launched Executive Protection. This new service caters for IRS residents, visiting VIPs and international stars. To attend to these ?special people?, Caudan Security has recruited qualified staff for specific duties and responsibilities. ?The growing insecurity had made some international stars hesitant to visit Mauritius. There was no service designed for their needs. This service has been a special request by special people?, declares Yerriah Appanah, managing director of Caudan Security.
Caudan Security has been operating since 1997. Meant at first for Caudan Waterfront only, it has extended its services at national level with a staff of 800 employees. The main services offered are guarding services, Active Response, Cash-in-Transit, Access Control, CCTV, automatic gate openers and executive protection.
Caudan Security undertakes guarding services to industrial buildings and commercial complexes. Besides manned guarding services, the company has guard dogs and an advanced electronic monitoring system on most sites. This system informs the management of the guards? movements while on duty. Caudan Alarm Systems provides wired and wireless systems with a round-the-clock stand-by service. Its central monitoring station, is manned on a 24-hour basis via land line or cell phone. It monitors also other signals from your alarm, such as fire, medical emergency, power failure or opening and closing times of premises.
Caudan Active Response reacts quickly to protect life and property and works closely with police and other services in the fight against crime. It offers rapid response to burglar alarm, panic alarm and fire through a 24-hour response team stationed in vehicles within a 5km radius of premises. The national alarm monitoring and rapid response service combines the latest technology with a trained reactive force and patrol vehicles. Cash-in Transit, in semi-armored and secured vehicles, equipped with sophisticated devices such as siren, panic alarm devices with vehicle immobilization and global positioning system to track vehicle movements, has been set up to international standards.
The company recruits officers with previous experience in the police or military and trains them. ?Human resources are the most valuable assets of the company?, says Yerriah Appanah. The aim of the company is to provide innovative solutions to customers regardless of their identity and size. It offers effective and efficient 24-hour security to persons, homeowners and businesses alike. ?What makes our company different is that we are fully owned by Mauritians. We understand our clients? needs as we know their culture?, adds Yerriah Appanah.
