Saddam healthy enough to return to court
Saddam Hussein is well enough to return to court on Monday after 16 days on hunger strike, a US military spokesman said yesterday in response to a report that the former Iraqi president had been taken to hospital. The spokesman declined to comment on specifics of detainees? health. He confirmed that Saddam and three co-defendants who have not eaten since July 7 have been receiving medical care and were considered ?in a condition where they can return to court?.
