The director of the spiritual organisation based in Rajasthan, India was awarded the peace medal by the United Nations in 1985, the year of peace. Dadi Prakashmani took over the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University from the founder, Dada Leckraz at the founder?s death in 1969. The Brahma Kumaris has over 7500 centres in more than 100 countries across the world and is one of the few organisations run entirely by women. It is not known who will take over the organisation but the odds are on Dadi Janki who jointly runs the UK centres with sister Jayanti. Three-day meditation sessions have been held worldwide, including at the twelve different meditation centres in Mauritius.
