We cannot avoid seeing

The courage to climb

the flimsy stairs

In dire need of repairs

And the wisdom of our teachers

To understand

the helplessness of elders

O God,

Grant us, our parents,

and our educators

With your wisdom

Protect us from explosives

and collapsing ceilings

Soften the hearts of the ladies who rule over us

Enlighten the dark clouds ahead of us

Strengthen our will to stay loyal

O God

Increase the number of stray dogs

Reward the caretakers who feed them

So that these old canine royalists
