Le Premier ministre indien au samadi de SSR
En visite officielle à Maurice depuis hier, le Premier ministre (PM) indien, Manmohan Singh, a tenu à rendre hommage à Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) par un dépôt de gerbe sur sa tombe à Pamplemousses. Le PM indien a été accueilli par le vice-Premier ministre et ministre des Finances, Pravind Jugnauth, le ministre de l?Agriculture, Nando Bodha, et le leader le l?opposition, Navin Ramgoolam (debout sur la photo). Il a aussi procédé à la mise en terre d?une plante avant de signer le traditionnel Livre d?or. Il y a notamment écrit : ?I deem it a great honour to pay my deep respects to the father of the Mauritian nation and a big architect of the privileged and abiding friendship between the people of Mauritius and India.?
