How much are we missing?
Most of us who would not miss an opportunity to watch a programme in good BBC English and to listen to first-hand comments on world events on television find ourselves in a dilemma at precisely the moment when most eyes are glued to the small screen. That?s when the 7.30 news and the BBC programme Hard Talk clash, leaving many of us with our fingers on the remote control (luckier are the ones who have this gadget) trying to get the best of both worlds, which of course leaves us frustrated in the end. This BBC programme has a lot to offer in terms of general knowledge, world affairs and? to our youngsters in secondary school who could do with learning a little good pronunciation from the BBC staff. We viewers would make an appeal to the MBC to reconsider the timing of both these programmes so that we do not miss any more of them.
