Harry Potter and the half blood prince
Referring to the article published in Outlook on 19th July: Who is the Half Blood Prince? The author of the article wrote “That means that wizards who have both parents as muggles can be called half bloods.”
Being a Harry Potter fan and having read all the tomes so far, I would like to mention that a half blood wizard is a wizard who has one muggleborn parent and one pureblood parent.
For example, Harry himself is a half blood wizard for his mother Lily Potter was muggleborn and his father James Potter was a pure blood.
Another example is Lord Voldemort or Tom Marvolo Riddle. His mother was a pureblood Slytherin while his father was a muggleborn.
“The Second War Begins” Referring again to the published article I would like to mention that the first war was when Lord Voldermort was defeated years back by baby Harry Potter, which left Harry with a scar. The second war, mentioned in Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, I believe, is the upcoming war between Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter. For if the first war had been when Harry came face to face with Lord Voldermort in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” then what about the thunderbolt scar on Harry’s forehead?
New defence v/s Dark Arts teacher </B>
“Perhaps nearly every year Harry spent at Hogwarts there was a death” First of all Hogwart is spelt without an s. Secondly Sirius Black died in the Order of Phoenix and not in the Goblet of Fire as mentioned in the article “For example in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the death of Sirius Black..”. And the most important point, which could have been mentioned, is the fact that each year there is a new defence against the Dark Arts teacher.
“Now that Harry has his heart back, a love triangle could be formed with Harry, Ron and Hermione”. Am sorry to say that J.K. Rowling is more imaginative than that!
I believe that if one has read the books, he or she is more likely to believe that Ron and Hermione are more likely to share a feeling stronger than friendship for each other. Where Harry is concerned, it is true that he was attracted to Cho Chang but then there is Ron’s little sister Ginny who has always had a special feeling for Harry as one can witness in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Now that was a hint, and for the question of who will be dying in this saga of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, that’s for you people to discover.
