The “face-lift” of the “20/Vin” outlet in Floréal Square must be a sign that wine is starting to be part of Mauritian lifestyle. For the management, the new shop is a “reflection of the sophistication that is gradually overtaking consumption patterns”. To better meet consumers’ demand, Grays is not skimping on effort; the company took advantage of the holiday trip to Mauritius of Nederburg cellar master, Razvan Macici, to introduce wine lovers to the pleasures of the South African brand.

The cosy atmosphere of the little shop contrasts with the cold of Floréal. The many bottles of wine on the wooden shelves and the light filtering through add to the friendly atmosphere conveyed by the Grays team… While the first guests are sipping their first glass of wine, the cellar master seems to make sure his senses are on the alert to enjoy the flavours of the new bottles of Nederburg wine introduced in Mauritius…

Among these new wines, Grays is importing two “really” special brands that the cellar master advises us to “drink until the very last drop”. The red Manor House (Shiraz) is produced only for export and Mauritius is the third privileged country – after Denmark and Germany – to enjoy this brand. It comes from the best vineyards of Nederburg and is produced in small quantities. People wishing to enjoy its subtle smoky and vanilla aromas will have to go to selected shops – one of the four “20/Vin” outlets – or restaurants.

Grays has also made sure it has a good vintage product in the white range. The Auction Reserve from the Private Bin category is also produced in very small quantities. This sweet wine, “perfect with foie gras”, will only be found in Grays outlets.
