?With the new reforms introduced for foreign investment, the introduction of the business registration card and the occupation permit and the business environment in general, Mauritius has become one of the top 50 countries for foreign investment. The ICT sector is quite encouraging and has tremendous potential not only locally but also for export through the free port facilities. The government has done much to attract foreign investment but the free port has more potential and is competing with the free port in Dubai. If marketed well to the supplying and buying countries, the free port can bring in more business.
The Mauritian people are very hospitable and this is a very positive aspect for the country. They now need to embrace the challenge as Mauritius is going through some trying times and the people need to understand this and change their working styles and attitudes as this is not a developed but developing country although it has potential to become a developed country but only through hard work and sacrifice.
I personally had a choice either to come to Mauritius or go to Dubai and I opted to come here as here we are helping to build the ICT industry by providing products and services, which have changed the entire ICT industry and made it as competitive and technologically advanced as any other country. I hope that Mauritius will become the cyber island that all of us hope for and are working hard to achieve.?
