<B>?Highest level of professionalism?

I am shocked by the news that Mrs Jugmohun has been asked to ?retire?. When Vishnu Lutchmeenaraidoo resigned and Sir Anerood Jugnauth became also minister of Finance, I worked with Mrs Jugmohun, then head of the United Revenue Board, an extremely sensitive post both economically and politically. She carried out her work with the highest level of professionalism and decorum. She epitomized what Jean Claude de l?Estrac stated in a recent interview as the excellent demeanour of the first generation of Mauritian civil servants. Mauritius does not have the luxury of losing such Mauritian ?cadres?, far less getting rid of them. I am not sure if my support will help Mrs Jugmohun but a line has to be drawn in the sand.
