A Genuine Call

Vatsala Radhakeesoon.

À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.

(World Book Day 2026)

Friends on a lonely night

Mood - balms during sick days

They came to your doorstep

many times

In childhood, you followed them

the indoor butterflies

of your room - gardens

The time they spoke was wondercherished

In adulthood you often discard them

Lost in memes

In endless ups and downs scrolls

of trendy - tricky

You say you are alright

But you seem shallow - fickle blind

Lost in vocabulary

No intensity

Density

O Rise, Rise youth of my country!

Don’t drown!

Drop

the haters

marsh of no return

Nothing to share attitudes

smearing all in talks - monsters

Open Dawn’s doors again

Let the windows breathe

minds - freshness

inquisitiveness - endless!

Embrace the pages written

printed

glued

sewn

digitalized pacing contemporariness

created by

burning the midnight oil

with passion

winning over flaws of letters

mismatched

All in one

Perfection in your lap!

Embrace them!

Books!

Knowledge of Immortality!
