Plumes engagées
August Blues
Ayesha Nilmadhub.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
You were mine when July was burning,
when the roses were a bit more red.
Then came August.
The roses withered
and
the world went dark for a minute.
Hours slipped away between
the beats of my heart.
In my eyes it was all just magic,
impossible magic but
I was not holding the wand.
You learned the secrets of my soul,
buried within, the ones I almost forgot.
So I asked the sky to teach me how
to choose when I had been given
no choice.
Somewhere within myself,
I found solace
but
with you, I learned the quiet, terrifying,
beautiful secrets of the universe.
Some things are born out of love
and
some from the space
between choosing and letting go.
Some things die out of love
and
some from the act of letting go.
Perhaps that is the cruellest thing when
it comes to love, that to love deeply is
knowing when to hold it and when to let
go, leaving behind a forever stain.
A beautiful reminder you will remain
that awakening is disguised as love,
in all forms,
in all its names,
in all the ways it contributes
to our revival.
