Quiet truths

Bhama Lallmunn.

À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.

Ensconced beneath the heavy quilt

I shiver – not from cold alone

But from the creeping chill of thoughts

That slink like shadows when I’m alone

The night is thick, a breathing thing

Layered in hush and half lost cries

Each second stretches, soft and sharp

Like whispered blame beneath closed eyes.

I reach – not outward but within

For solace that remains unnamed

For warmth no blanket dares to bring

For touch that speaks.not plays a game.

Misunderstandings bloom like jungle vines

Whispers flowering on glassy spines

Your silence craves what words won’t say

The echo louder than cries today

I don’t want apologies or masks

No perfect words, no practised art

Only the quiet truth of you

Pressed gently to my aching heart

Let me be seen in shadows deep

Not fixed, not judged, just held a while

Even the night would soften then

If met with one unguarded smile.
