Fluttering butterflies, buttering compliments, flushing cheeks,

A suspended second in time when the eyes met and the unspoken said…

So were the contents of romantic rigmaroles;

To believe is one, to feel is another…

As they say,

Love creeps in unexpectedly,

When he walked in,

With a heart of blossoming kindness and ethereal gentleness,

My lips drew joy and my cheeks awashed with rose,

Love is now but my beloved,

For I realise not long ago,

Cupid’s arrow has pierced my heart…
