Plumes engagées
The way I adore you
Ayesha Nilmadhub.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier en ce jour de la St-Valentin.
When I look into your eyes,
I am penetrating your soul, not because I have to
but
because it is the way I choose to see you.
I choose to see your naked soul,
trace my fingertips around the stories written on your body
that make you, you.
I am addicted to the depth of what cannot be described
because in a world so shallow, I am one of the luckiest.
To be able to feel everything so deeply,
is a magnetic desire that I have with the universe.
Our paths might not be intertwined
but
our worlds are full of magic.
Roses with thorns, I am still beautiful.
I do not prick but I bleed.
If you look me in the eyes,
you will finally understand why we collided.
Hold my gaze long enough
and
you will see why the universe chose impact over mercy

Bio
Ayesha Nilmadhub
With law degrees in hand and a poet’s soul, she writes to connect, to feel, and to linger in the quiet truths of the human spirit. At the intersection of logic and lyricism, her work gives measured voice to what often remains unspoken. Her debut poetry collection is forthcoming, offering an intimate exploration of the human heart. “Welcome your heart and trust the universe as it unfolds”, she says.
