Plumes engagées
Wishes, wants and wisdom
Anitah Aujayeb.
À l’heure du tout à l’image et du buzz sans suite, «l’express» souhaite faire découvrir la plume de poètes, de chanteurs, d’écrivains et de tous ceux qui jettent leur âme sur le papier, et qui mettent en mots des réflexions profondes.
My life-giver, my God, my preserver and provider
Have mercy on me, this weary soul, you progenitor
A blind eye and a deaf ear turn on my trip on earth
For I like not what I made of this human birth
Known as the forgiver of sins and falls
You wipe the dark phases, physical, mental all
Accept my Lord, my existence, an endless search
For I like not what I made of this human birth
Wishes I had too many, myriads seen and unseen
My wants buzzed ceaselessly on the unfit scene
Accept my Lord, my fruitless journey in the universe
For I like not what I made of this human birth
Before I exit as a ship without a rudder, before I expire
On each breath of mine your blessed hand let me aspire
To inspire other souls, of the wisdom’s of this body’s worth
For I like not what I made of this human birth
Forgive my wants, forget my wishes unending
In this little short life’s sojourn I spent loitering
A bundle of sins I leave at the altar of your church
For I like not what I made of this human birth.
