Laina Rawat: “Should anything happen to my family and our children…”

«There has been a plan to hold my family before a public tribunal and the proof of this lies in the series malicious press articles that have incited hatred against my family for nearly a year now.

The Ntan report was held private for a ‘fraud’ years back to protect the names of people involved however in our case it has been used as a tool to convince the public that we are to be held responsible without ANY COURT OF LAW HAVING HEARD AND TRIED THE CASE.

…The responsibility will lie with the press and the govt officials who have been taking steps to incite public hatred towards my family

Many people have expressed their concern for our safety in the next 24 hours therefore I am making a declaration here, should anything happen to my family and our children - the responsibility will lie with the press and the govt officials who have been taking steps to incite public hatred towards my family.

We love you dad and will always stand next to you because we know the man that you are - which is a man who had a vision for his people and his Country - strived to make changes in the cultural opportunities available for Mauritians and create levels of service that no one had ever seen before. Your family and close friends know that you are an honest and genuine man.”
