The Champ-de-Mars was crowded with over-excited people before the ceremony scheduled to start at 5 pm. If some were there out of patriotic love; others had come for the love of music or just to see their favorite stars.

The most appreciated among the foreign artists were the Bombay Vikings from India, Bobby Kray from UK and

Atif Aslam from Pakistan, whom everybody was awaiting. Despite the torrential rains and strong winds, the public stood firm. Atif Aslam?s voice, melody, smile and warm approach compensated for the bad weather.

His performance went from 1 am until 2.30 am. But there were still other performances. In fact, the show ended at 4 am. ?The concert was absolutely fabulous! I liked the Bombay Vikings, Bobby Kray, OSB and Atif Aslam. But after him, the concert was really dull and many people left?, said Kaavi.

This was a bit discouraging for the other artists but still. Tastes differ and it?s sometimes hard to please everyone. But this was indeed the biggest celebration we ever had.
