● Heritage protection ? Save our national heritage. This could be the title of the forum organised by trade unionist Jack Bizlall on Saturday, 6th October, at the Plaza. The trade unionist will seize the opportunity of this debate to set up a national council for the protection of the country?s heritage. All those who have fought for the protection of the country?s heritage are expected to bring their contribution.

● One week left for taxpayers ? Every individual taxpayer has only one week left to file in his/her income tax return. "The due date for the submission of Income Tax Returns and the payment of tax for the year of assessment 2007-2008 by individuals has been extended to Monday 8th October 2007," states the official communiqué of the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). The MRA has continued to provide assistance for filling the forms during the weekend.
