Le Musée Getty accepte de renvoyer 40 antiquités en Italie.
Le Musée Getty a accepté un compromis mettant un terme à une longue controverse avec l?Italie sur des antiquités de sa collection qui, selon Rome, proviennent d?un pillage, a annoncé avant-hier le ministère italien de la Culture. Le musée américain renverra 40 oeuvres d?art en Italie, soit six de moins que ce réclamait Rome, mais 14 de plus que ce qu?il a proposé l?an dernier lorsque le gouvernement a menacé de couper ses relations avec lui. Les deux parties se sont déclarées satisfaites de la conclusion de ce compromis à l?issue de négociations longues et complexes.
Spice Girl hits Eddie Murphy with paternity suit
Spice Girl singer Melanie Brown filed a paternity suit yester against actor Eddie Murphy asking for child support for her 3-month-old daughter. Gloria Allred, the lawyer for the ?Scary Spice? member of the 1990s British girl band, said the lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. It seeks to legally establish paternity and asks for unspecified child support.
Singer R Kelly to be tried for child pornography
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer R Kelly will go on trial on September 17th on child pornography charges, five years after the accusations were first made, prosecutors said recently.
Kelly, 40, whose real name is Robert Kelly, faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl. Prosecutors have said the girl could have been as young as 13, but defense attorneys have disputed her age and whether Kelly is on the tape. The underground videotape was widely circulated.
