<B>Frustrated Maurice Allet ?</B> The Parti mauricien social démocrate (PMSD) must feel increasingly awkward. While MP Eric Guimbeau keeps protesting against many government decisions, it is now the turn of his leader, Maurice Allet, to voice out his frustration. He denounces the attitude of the Parti mauricien Xavier Duval (PMXD) leader, Xavier-Luc Duval, at the inauguration of the social centre of Cité Chebel. His main reproach is that the project has been done by the MPs of the constituency and that the minister of Tourism is now acting as if he were the one to launch it. But Xavier-Luc Duval makes it clear that he was invited by the village council and that he was not the one who organised the reception.

<B>Young student dies in accident ? </B>A 12 year-old boy was killed in a violent car crash last Wednesday. Asgar Aftal Ramjaun died on the spot after a two-wheel drive ran him down on Royal Road in Triolet and threw him against the Int. Uniform Club where the wall collapsed on him. Three of his friends were also injured in the accident: Aftab Sadolah, Gulsan Ajodha and Sawan Koobarawa. The 25 year-old driver of the vehicle, provisionally accused of manslaughter, said he was trying to avoid a cyclist when he bumped into the boys. But witnesses? versions are quite contradictory. An enquiry has been opened to shed some light on this case.
