Potential young leaders, get ready! The British Council is launching the fourth edition of its Interaction Programme and is looking for ?10 outstanding young Mauritians to participate in cohort 4?. It will search for the best potential leaders among the applications received by the end of the month to take part in this ?unique inspirational programme?.

The programme will extend over six months and will ?develop a wide variety of skills, tools, techniques and methodologies?. In fact, the leaders chosen in 19 African countries will learn to enhance their individual capacities to become effective leaders and showing a better image of the continent through their achievements.

This is what the programme is all about. Last year, Mauritius welcomed the most important event of the programme where 170 emerging leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa including the UK shared and networked together in an exciting residential forum. This programme is not only constructive for the continent but it is also an ?event? at a more personal level. Meeting such a high number of people, sharing experiences and discovering the similarities as Africans is certainly a guarantee of great emotion.

?To date more than 630 participants have completed the Interaction programme, directly reaching a further 10,000 people through outreach activities such as community networking and leadership exchanges,? says the British Council.
