We are writing you this letter on behalf of all the residents between St François Xavier Street and Military Road ?Camp Yoloffs?. During the last three weeks now, a group of people armed with swords and knives, has been terrorising the residents of this area, mainly in the ?Camp Yoloffs?. Apparently they tend to break into residents houses and threaten them with their weapons to kill them and demand money and jewelleries and other valuable items at the same time warn them if they report these matter to the police, they will come back and kill them. This is really nasty.

However most of the residents in this area is guarding their properties during the night time, when this nasty business is taking place. It appears that this happen between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Most nights.

We also believe that this serious matter has been reported to the Fanfaron Police Station and the Plaine Verte Police Station ? and it seems that this report has not been taken seriously.

Somehow, this is getting worse and more serious. We fear that there could be murder and bloodshed if no action is taken immediately.

This terrorising group seems to know exactly when to strike. At present everyone in this area is living in fear. It has also been noted that thieves are also striking at Cité Martial, targetting mainly on elderly people living on their own or when people is out of their house. Robbing radio, tv and other valuable items.

At one time, they have broken into Mr & Mrs Hosenee premises living at Camp Yoloffs (Municipality Street) and stole several valuable items.

We would have like to come and see you directly, as we have important and urgent matters to attend here, unfortunately we could not make it. We do apologize.

That?s why we are writing you this letter directly. This nasty business is causing a lot of fear and frustration among the residents of this area, and it is getting worse, specially in Camp Yoloffs. Some residents are frighten to report the matter to the police as they fear for their children and their own lives.

We would be very grateful if you could look into this matter urgently. Your help and cooperation in this matter will be very much appreciated as we all want to live our lives in peace and harmony ? we are very friendly people in Camp Yoloffs.

We certainly don?t want a repeat of the civil war he had some years ago as you may recall.

We sincerely hope this letter will meet your awareness of this horrible problems and that you will rectify matters as soon as possible. We need your help to restore peace and order in our area.
