● <B>No progress on centralisation ? </B>The State ultimatum to sugar producers is coming to an end on Thursday, 31st of May. It is becoming urgent for Mon-Loisir, Mon-Trésor-Mon-Désert and Riche-en-Eau factories to say whether they agree with the conditions stated by the government to allow their closing down for the centralisation project. However, little progress has been made ? especially over the land recently requested by the government against the closure.

● <B>Rainbow March ? </B>The Collectif Arc-en-Ciel is organising its second Rainbow March on Saturday 2nd June. The march will start at the Plaza at 11 am and is aimed at breaking the taboos and making the homosexual community more visible and accepted. It will be followed by a "pride party" at Kart Loisirs on Saturday night as from 10.30 pm.
