?Mr Dominique Grenade wanted all of us to succeed!?
?If I am what I am today, I must say it is thanks to several people such as my teachers, my friends and my parents. Among my teachers, there was one whom I particularly appreciated. His name was Mr. Dominique Grenade. He was my teacher in private tuition for (CPE scholarship). He was teaching all subjects.
To be honest, at that time, I did not really realize how important he was. But today, when I look at the present context, I realize how good and how kind he was. Moreover, I realize how important the tuition he was giving was. Indeed, the private tuition he was giving was free! He was also my primary school teacher in St Patrick RCA in Plaine-Magnien.
Mr. Dominique Grenade was a very natural and sincere person. He knew how to make us feel confident in whatever we were doing. He was the kind of person who was always doing things with conviction. At first sight, he looked very severe and strict. In fact he was! But for a good cause. He wanted all of us to succeed! Deep inside, he was a great gentleman!
?For me, the perfect teacher is someone who can be a guide, an example and a model. Added to this, he must love and be interested in what he is doing.
If there is one thing I will always remember about him, it is certainly his ruler! He used to keep it in his sock. Whenever one of us was not doing things properly he would use it to hit us. However, he would not hit us badly but just to get us back on the right track. Despite the fact that the tuition he gave was free, he would always try his best to give all of us a certain individual attention.
People have to understand something; many children did not have the privilege of having parents who were well off and had had a good education. Mr. Dominique was willing to share his knowledge with us. This was incredible!
For me, the perfect teacher is someone who can be a guide, an example and a model. Added to this, he must love and be interested in what he is doing. When I look at Mr. Dominique, I must say he was this type of person. If we look at him in the context of these days, he was a symbol for me! He did not think of what he could gain from the situation, but rather of the welfare of his students!
