Five babies die in fire at orphanage
Five babies died and a nurse was injured in a fire yesterday at a Sarajevo orphanage, police and prosecutors said.
Two babies were in the intensive care, Sarajevo police said in a statement. FENA news agency quoted duty regional prosecutor Dubravko Campara as saying the nurse, who tried to rescue the babies, suffered burns. Police and fire fighters were alerted at 03.50 GMT and the fire at the orphanage?s baby ward was put out half an hour later. The cause of the fire is being investigated, police said.
