?No malicious intent?
I read an article in the l?express samedi regarding the claim the CEB has on Princes Tuna (Mauritius) Ltd (PTM).
The fact that CEB is claiming 41 million MRU from PTM is correct, as we received a plaint with summons last Friday.
However the statement in your newspaper article that PTM has wrongly programmed the electricity meter is incorrect and may lead the public to understand that PTM has tried to mislead the CEB.
That is surely not the case and we feel that this needs to be corrected.
The plaint with summons, which we received, states that the CEB had wrongly programmed their electricity meter, which is mounted in an area only accessible to CEB staff.
The CEB claim clearly mentions that this was a genuine bona fide mistake by the CEB and claims that PTM was thus under invoiced an amount 41 million MRU since the year 2000. From this, it is clear that there has been no malicious intent from the side of PTM in this matter.
