Two life jackets were found in the sea but the company asserts there is no need to worry, as there were more jackets than necessary in the boat.

● <B> OIL SLICK IN PORT-LOUIS HARBOUR. </B>Visitors of Caudan Waterfront must have been shocked when they saw oil floating in front of them last weekend. According to a report by the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA), a pipe used by Shell is at the origin of the leak. However, Shell refuses to take responsibility for the oil slick and makes it clear that the ?pipes located under the quays are MPA property. This particular pipe has been defective since November 2005. The MPA launched an invitation to tender to make appropriate repairs in 2006 but nothing has been done since then?. The MPA is however adamant that the maintenance was under the responsibility of Shell and that it will ?claim reimbursement of expenses to repair the damage?.
