This Port-Louis travel agency seems to be living through a nightmare. After the sum of Rs 2,5 million was stolen two weeks ago, the travel agency director says she has been the victim of a second robbery last Friday. The suspect, Mohamed Hosany, was arrested but the director asserts she did not get her money back - contrarily to what witnesses say. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is continuing their enquiry.

The alleged victim told the police that a man on his motorcycle approached her motorbike and snatched her plastic bag before driving away. As she had just been to the bank, the bag contained Rs 100,000. As she cried out, passers-by stopped the man and handed him over to the police after giving him a good beating.

Then, one of the witnesses took the plastic bag back and gave it to the director of the travel agency. All people present agree on that version up to that point. Contrarily to other statements, the director asserts that the money was no longer in the bag. The police are working on the different versions to establish what really happened.

This new case of theft occurred only two weeks after the first one when Rs 2,5 million in foreign currency was stolen from her while she was on a motorbike with her husband. Noorina Gangoo, an employee of the agency for the last six weeks, is provisionally accused of conspiracy to commit larceny with violence after being incriminated by two suspects.
