The case has taken on proportions that the ?actors? would have never imagined. ?The show? was intended to be just a game where a 16 year-old school girl was having fun in front of a phone camera with four boys of roughly the same age. But it finally turned out to be an amateur porn movie that has been circulated through mobile phones.

Although the clip was recorded seven months ago, the case became public only two weeks ago. One of the boys might have wanted to share the fun with friends and he finally lost control of the situation. Or it could be a case of revenge? As a result, the clip has been sent to many people ? mainly students. The images of the ?movie? have even been copied on a CD, which is being sold at around Rs 1,000.

As the main ?actress? who is now in Lower VI in a State college, was not 16 at the time of the offence, the Ombudsperson for Children, who was informed of the case on 17th February, contacted the police and asked for an enquiry. The girl has been examined by police medical officer, Satish Boolell, and by a psychologist. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) now know the identity of the four ?actors?. One is said to have left the country for Australia last week while the others were preparing to give themselves up at the beginning of this week. They could all be charged with having sexual relations with a minor of less than 16 and thus risk a five-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs 1 million.
