Jacko goes shopping in a burqa
Pop star Michael Jackson was seen shopping in Bahrain on Wednesday disguised as a traditional Arab woman, apparently to avoid public attention. Jackson, who has been living in this Arab state since last June as a guest of the royal family, was spotted at a popular mall wearing a black abaya robe, black gloves, sunglasses and a veil that covered his face. Three Western-looking children accompanying him drew the attention of shoppers, who quickly recognised the pop star. “Please, no!” Jackson shouted to photographers before making a rapid exit. A woman accompanying Jackson asked photographers to step back. “You have to give us some privacy. Please, you have to understand his position, he is with his kids... you need to leave us alone,” she said.
