With its brand new ?wavers?, Rent a Sign hopes to give a new vision of the ?trivision billboards?. This is the latest innovation in the field of outdoor advertising in the Indian Ocean. With its unique and original ?state-of-the-art structure system? worldwide, the company?s greatest ambition is to have ?the most beautiful billboards of the island,? declares the managing director, Thierry Serret.

As its name suggests, Rent a Sign is a company offering outdoor advertising spaces especially billboards. The managing director asserts that, with material coming from Sweden, this is the ?most reliable? billboard on the market. In fact, ?Rent a Sign is an innovating company that does not hesitate to use high standard materials to satisfy its customers,? summarises Thierry Serret.

Site rotation

?Recent research indicates that moving billboards ? here trivision, which permits three rotary advertisements on the same billboard ? increase consumer involvement significantly more than the static variety- by 500%, in fact. The more the consumer is engaged, the greater the likelihood he/she will recall the advertising campaign and be influenced accordingly.? With its ?intriguing diagonal pole, the waver has an aesthetic and neat cladding that goes up to the top and above the billboards? image giving it an architectural finish. The waver should therefore attract the attention of even more people.

To better satisfy its customers, the company intends to offer them a site rotation. ?A company which rents an advertising space from us will see its advert all around the island during its campaign. With such a system, the company will ?be everywhere? for a minimum of three months.? At the same time, this will certainly give more dynamism to the billboard ? people will always have an impression that there is something new to see - undoubtedly positive for the campaign.

Visual quality

By creating a special brand for this type of billboards, the company wanted to give a ?privileged? character to it. ?Our customers must identify themselves with this type of billboard. It is undoubtedly a high-standard type of communication and it is like a sign of respect for a brand to be advertised on such a billboard.?

With the recent debate over the abusive use of billboards and other advertisements on the roads which in no way correspond to the desire to live in a clean and healthy environment, the arrival of such billboards on the market appears as a constructive decision. These billboards have at the same time a material and visual quality which can in no way shock the public.

Thierry Serret hopes that ?all competitors will adapt and make sure to implement nicer billboards in the future.? Of course, he is aware that the aesthetic criterion is important for the billboard but its location is just as important. The ?Outdoor advertising association?, of which he is the secretary, was set up about five years ago with this in mind.

The aim of such an association was to make each operator ? but also the authorities ? responsible. For the moment there is absolutely no regulation for the location of billboards and ?we can?t deny that the situation has really moved forward since the creation of the association.?

According to Thierry Serret, the goal of regulating the location of billboards is to achieve a balance between the ?environmental impact and the communications impact?. Of course, the impact on the public is less important when there are hundreds of billboards on the same site, so such regulations would certainly benefit everyone? Be warned!
