<B>RULING ALLIANCE</B>
<B>Francoise Labelle</B> (50): elected MP in 2000 before being appointed PPS in 2005. She is in constituency n° 16. She has been involved in social affairs since 1995 because she is “in favour of the emancipation of society.” She took a stand against the inclusion of oriental languages in the CPE ranking process in the 1990s because she thought this was detrimental to some children.
<B>Usha Jeetah</B> (55): was the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Mauritius in Washington DC since 2001. She has just resigned to stand for election in constituency n°7. Member of the MSM central committee since 1995, she used to be the president of its women’s wing.
